QGIS plugins from GeoDrafter

QGIS 4 moved from Qt5 to Qt6, and many plugins people relied on in QGIS 3 have not been updated. GeoDrafter's plugins are written for QGIS 4 from the start and also run on QGIS 3.40 LTR. They are free, open source (GPL), collect no telemetry and are made by Henrik Rosenskjold, a GIS consultant in Denmark. Pro Trace started as a tracing tool he wrote for his own digitizing work.

Coming next

GeoDrafter Coordinate Capture, a QGIS 4 version of the popular Coordinate Capture plugin with DMS, UTM and MGRS, is next. The port has first been offered to the plugin's original author, so it will be released here a little later.

Installing a plugin in QGIS

Plugins from the official QGIS catalogue are installed from inside QGIS: open Plugins ▸ Manage and Install Plugins, search for the plugin's name and click Install Plugin. Each plugin's page says whether it is already in the catalogue.
