Terms of use

Short version: the map tools are free and run in your browser. If you publish a map with GeoDrafter Publish, you are responsible for what is on it, it must be legal, and we can remove it.

Who we are

GeoDrafter is run by GISkon (sole proprietorship (enkeltmandsvirksomhed)), owned by Henrik Rosenskjold, CVR 38755986, 9400 Nørresundby, Denmark. E-mail: [email protected].

The map tools

The tools on geodrafter.com are free, need no account and run in your browser; what you draw is not sent to us (see the privacy policy). We work to make the results correct and explain on each page how accurate they are, but they are not a substitute for a survey or official data. Do not use them where an error could put people or property at risk, such as navigation or legal boundaries.

GeoDrafter Publish

GeoDrafter Publish turns the visible map in a QGIS project into a web map with a fixed link, through the GeoDrafter Publish plugin for QGIS (experimental). Maps are shown at an address ending in geodrafter.app, and owners manage them at app.geodrafter.com. You upload only map data and images, never HTML or JavaScript.

What you may not publish

You are responsible for the maps you publish and must have the right to publish them. You may not publish anything that:

We may remove a map or close an account without notice if we believe it breaks these terms or the law, and we may report illegal content to the authorities.

Reporting a map

Every public map has a "Report this map" link. You can also write to [email protected] with the map's link and what is wrong.

No guarantee

GeoDrafter and Publish are provided as they are, without a guarantee of uptime or that maps are kept. Keep your own copy of your QGIS project and data. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect loss, lost data or lost profit, and our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the last 12 months. This does not limit rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law.

Changes and law

We may change these terms; the date below shows the latest version, and for significant changes account holders are told by e-mail first. Danish law applies, and disputes are settled by the Danish courts, unless mandatory consumer rules give you the right to use the courts where you live.
